      1. Types of Pension Schemes & Eligibility Criteria

      Under the Rajasthan government guidelines, pensions are broadly classified based on the nature of retirement:

      Superannuation Rule

      Retirement occurs on the afternoon of the last day of the month in which the employee completes the age of 60 years. Qualifying service is calculated after excluding periods of non-qualifying service like unauthorized leaves or EOL.

      Commutation of Pension

      Rajasthan employees are eligible to commute up to 40% of their basic pension. Commutation represents a lump-sum payment in exchange for a reduction in monthly pension, which is restored after 15 years.

      2. Essential Documents & Forms Required

      For DDOs and treasuries to verify your pension case, specific forms must be compiled and submitted:

      1. Form 6 (Pension Form): The primary application form detailing the employee's personal info, service record, nominee credentials, and bank account options.
      2. Form 27A (Government Accommodation Certificate): A declaration confirming that the employee did not occupy government accommodation or has cleared all dues/license fees if they did.
      3. Form 28 & 28A (No Dues for Long-Term Advances): Verifies that all long-term loans (like House Building Advances or Motor Vehicle Loans) have been fully repaid to the state treasury.
      4. Last Pay Certificate (LPC): Issued by the DDO indicating the last pay drawn, allowances, and deductions up to the retirement date.

      The Government of Rajasthan has digitized the entire pension application process using the IFMS 3.0 Portal. The process involves three major stages:

      1. Employee Initiation: The retiring employee logs in to the SSO portal, accesses the IFMS 3.0 Employee Self Service (ESS) dashboard, fills out the online pension form, uploads scanned PDFs of service verification, and submits it to their DDO.
      2. DDO Verification (Maker & Checker): The DDO reviews the service record, verifies pay fixation details, confirms leave balances, uploads the LPC, and forwards the e-signed application to the Pension Department.
      3. PPO Generation: The Pension Department audits the case, calculates the final benefits, generates the Pension Payment Order (PPO), and forwards it to the Treasury/Bank for payment authorization.
