आयकर विभाग ने शुरू की ऑनलाइन चालान सुधार (Challan Correction) सुविधा
The Income Tax Department has launched an Online Challan Correction Request facility on the e-Filing portal to help taxpayers correct common errors in tax payments. Users can now fix mistakes related to Assessment Year, Tax Year, Major Head, and Minor Head without visiting tax offices. The facility is available for eligible unconsumed challans from AY 2020-21 onwards and must be used within specified timelines. It aims to improve tax compliance, reduce errors in Form 26AS and AIS, and make the tax system more transparent and efficient.
