TCS Return Due Date: New Deadline For Tax Year 2026-27
Starting from Tax Year 2026-27, tax collectors must file quarterly TCS returns using the newly introduced Form 143, which replaces Form 27EQ under the Income Tax Act, 2025. The government has extended the filing deadlines, allowing returns to be submitted by the last day of the month following each quarter. While TCS return filing dates have been relaxed, TCS deposit due dates remain unchanged. Non-compliance may attract a late filing fee of ₹200 per day and other penalties. The revised system aims to improve tax reporting, data validation, and faster tax credit reflection for taxpayers.
